Our investment style is value oriented with a strong emphasis on balance sheet analysis, not surprising given the strong analytical background of our investment team. Our focus at all times is on capital preservation and growth in all market environments.

Our investment team is well-seasoned in both equity and fixed income investing. On the equity side, we seek to construct a core portfolio made up of stocks of all capitalizations. We focus on companies with strong financials, solid market share, and reputable management. Both value and growth stocks may be considered for purchase if market valuations are reasonable and expectations are not overly inflated. All stocks are subject to a vigorous sell discipline during their entire holding period.

On the fixed income side, we construct portfolios with laddered maturities which provide for a steady cash flow for reinvestment each year and helps mitigate interest rate risk. Our portfolios have an investment grade focus and typically utilize multiple instrument types including government and agency issues, corporates, mortgage-backed securities, and municipals, where appropriate. Client-specific goals and objectives permitting, we will also include vehicles of a more opportunistic nature such as high yield, convertible, and callable issues.
